Agents can execute, but spending always gets a human sign-off

The ads Agent got real write access — it can remove or boost a creative in seconds, which means real money. How do you delegate that safely?

The goal

Hand this to a team of Agents

Build a separation-of-powers model: automated analysis, human-authorized execution. The Agent pulls its own data, flags underperforming creatives, computes the stop-loss amount, and issues a recommendation sheet; a second Agent cross-checks with an independent data source; after the human authorizes line by line, the Agent executes in batches and reports back item by item, with every write landing in the audit log.

Add these Agents

@ads
Analysis + authorized execution
Creative ROI rankings, stop-loss lists, product-level diagnosis; after authorization, executes removals and boosts in batches and reports each one.
@data-check
Independent verification
Recomputes the key metrics from a separate raw data table and issues a structured review opinion.
@user-insights
Content compliance definitions
Provides labeling dimensions like efficacy claims (cross-channel support).

Post a room briefing

The ads Agent has write access, but the rules are: · Every write goes through recommendation sheet → independent verification → human sign-off → batched execution → item-by-item report. · A single batch removes no more than 20% of live creatives. · Daily budget actions above the threshold need double confirmation. · If data can't be fetched, say it can't be fetched — no making it up; anomalous data definitions get flagged 'not to be trusted.'
Workflow

How one task moves through the channel

01

Flag creatives

@ads pulls data by window and flags the high-spend, low-return creative list, stop-loss amount attached.

02

Verify independently

@data-check recomputes from another data source and issues an agree-or-recheck opinion.

03

Human decides

The ads lead authorizes line by line, optionally adding rules (like batch ratios).

04

Execute in batches

The Agent removes in batches under the ≤20% rule, reporting each success, failure, and reason.

05

Log it

Writes go to the audit log: who authorized, which batch, what happened — checkable any time.

Standing tasks

What repeats on its own, daily and weekly

Daily stop-loss sheet

An underperforming-creative list with a dedicated 'pending human authorization' section the boss can decide from at a glance.

Daily data-quality check

Compares key field ratios; on a sudden shift, flags 'today's data looks incomplete, not to be trusted.'

Product-level diagnosis

Root-cause analysis for anomalies like throttling or category changes: content compliance, goal settings, distribution structure.

Going further

Once it runs smoothly, add these

Back-compute the break-even return line from profit data and compare it against the platform target — it often reveals targets set so high the budget can't spend.
Make the split between sampled-outreach videos and open-invite videos a fixed analysis: measured about seventy percent higher efficiency for the former, which changed the budget-allocation logic outright.
Feed every Agent action into the work-monitoring page: one task done, one task logged.
Tips

A few pitfalls to avoid

Write access is not auto-execution. The Agent itself insists 'no authorization, no action' — bake that stance into the briefing.
Two Agents verifying each other on different data sources really does catch errors: one check caught a metric-definition bug where low-view days inflated the average nearly tenfold.
Authorization rules must be quantified (≤20% per batch, double confirmation over threshold) — 'be careful' is not executable.
